London United's talismanic forward, Tarick Johnson has received recognition for his outstanding performances during the month of February, continuing his amazing debut season in the BBL.
Johnson, who is the league’s second leading scorer with 22.52 points per game, led London United’s scorers in all six games during the month and spearheaded two significant wins in the hunt for BBL Championship Playoff places. Johnson has led the team all season, and often has been the scoring catalyst and leadership for the team, especially whilst the squad has been depleted by departures an injuries.
The 6’4” Great Britain international posted a staggering 30.33 points and 6.33 rebounds per game as United went 2-4 in February.
Of particular note were his 35 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals as London beat the Chester Jets 106-99. He also notched 31 points in the 85-82 defeat of the Worcester Wolves, in which he iced the game with three late free-throws.
