Milton Keynes Lions 107-64 London United
19-8, 53-25, 79-45, 107-64
MK Lions (Tony Windless 29, Kevin Griffin 16, Michael New 12, Terrell Brown 12)
London United (Tarick Johnson 16, Markus Knight 15, Chris Haslam 10)
A new name brought about a superb performance from the Marshall MK Lions at Bletchley against London United.
The Lions were in command from the opening tip as a 12-2 start and some good defensive work created a 19-8 first quarter advantage.
London responded through Tarick Johnson and Marlin Capers in the second period but from 44-23 the Lions hit three consecutive threes – the last from Robert Youngblood – to lead 53-25 at half time.
Although United poured in three threes of their own in the third quarter, nine points from Kevin Griffin enabled the Lions to maintain control at 79-45. With every Lions player on the score sheet it was left to Dru Spinks to hit the final basket for a rampant home team. Tony Windless led all scorers with 29 points, whilst Tarick Johnson again led London United with 16
