London United 86-112 Chester Jets
18-36, 40-58, 62-87, 86-112
London United (Phil Perre 17, Marlin Capers 17, Tarick Johnson 15)
Chester Jets (Jazwyn Cowan 41, Alto Virgil 25, James Hamilton 25)
The Chester Jets had suffered a blow losing two imports this week, as Maurice Hargrow and Terrence Robinson both left the club.
Despite the short-handed roster, the Jets travelled to Hackney and gave a debut to new signing, Malcolm Leak who proved a valuable acquistion for this game. The ex-BBL veteran has had previous experience with Leicester, London Towers and Newcastle.
The result saw the Jets pick-up only their third victory of their BBL Championship campaign, thanks to a 112-86 victory at the SPACe Centre.
The Jets led from start to finish, and led by 18 points at 58-40 at the end of the first half. The third quarter saw the Jets continue to extend their lead, and enjoyed their biggest lead of the game at 77-47 midway through the period off the back of a 14-0 tear.
London United valiantly attempted to get back into the game, but the Jets saw them off to pick up the all important victory.
Jets' Jazwyn Cowan led all scorers netting a highly impressive 41 points, while a combination of Phillip Perre and Marlin Capers led the London scoring with 17 points each.
