London United 85-82 Worcester Wolves
13-15, 38-38, 69-60, 85-82
London United (Tarick Johnson 31, Chris Haslam 17, Marlin Capers 14)
Worcester Wolves (Tom Perkes 24, Andy Harper 16, Solomon Sheard 14)
London United ended their winless streak at four matches by holding off Worcester Wolves 85-82 in the capital.
United had 31points from perennial team leader, Tarick Johnson led them to victory, which keeps them seventh in the BBL.
A tight first half ended level at 38-38 before United broke the game open at the close of the third quarter. A 14-4 run established a 69-60 lead, which would provide them, seemingly, with a cushion for the final period.
However, Worcester were as feisty as ever and tied the match at 78-78 before Marcus Knight hit back-to-back buckets to take the home side 82-78 in front. Wolves fought back but three free-throws from Johnson sealed the match and an important win after the morale-sapping defeat to MK Lions on friday night.
