The Poujoulat Heat Guildford took back top spot in the BBL Championship with an 82-89 close win on the road at London United.
The Heat established an early advantage and led 19-26 after the first ten minutes before taking charge in the second stanza. They opened the second with a 14-4 burst to lead 23-40, although 8 un-answered points allowed United to narrow the gap at 34-46, which became 38-48 by the half.
United edged closer in the third period, and were just 65-71 down by the end of it to set up an exciting fourth quarter.
The hosts came out firing and Chris Haslam and Tarick Johnson scored 6 points each in a 12-6 start that knotted the teams at 77. The Heat responded with 5 in a row before London scored 5 points themselves to tie the game at 82. Brian Dux then made the crucial play as he drained a triple that sparked a 7-0 finish to the game for Guildford.
Dux had 31 points for his team, whilst Danny Gilbert had 19 and Mike Martin scored 17. Tarick Johnson was the highest scorer with 39 points, with another huge points performance for LU.
