A great weekend of basketball action saw London United earn two well-earned victories against Milton Keynes Lions and Worcester Wolves.

Saturday night at SPACe was thrilling if not heated, as the two teams fought hard for the honours. London United proved they were up for it when a 10-4 run in the first quarter put them back in control at 14-13, but a precious lead was not safe and MK Lions replied with 6pts of their own.

The second quarter was full of end-to-end action, and despite Milton Keynes making three valuable 3 pointers, London United dug deep to close out the half with 6 unanswered points at 36-39.

It wasn't until the 5th minute of the 3rd quarter that London United took the game to the Lions when a 2pt and 3pt basket from Tarick Johnson sandwiched an and1 play from Philip Perre to bring together a valuable 8-0 run, and edged United in front 46-45. The game remained a one point end-to-end contest until the close of the quarter 53-54.

A heated fourth quarter saw London United visit the charity stripe 13 times, as Milton Keynes lost their cool to get themselves into foul trouble.

14 successful free-throws, including 8 from Philip Perre and 4 from Chris Haslam, who both appear in the league Top 20 for free throw percentage, put the game out of reach for Milton Keynes Lions at 80-72 in London United's favour.
