Scottish Phoenix Honda Rocks gained revenge for the reverse earlier in the month at Braehead picking up a valuable 77-73 victory over the early BBL Championship pacesetters London United at the SPACE Centre on Saturday evening.

London, who fielded 3 ex-Scottish Rocks players in Perre, Feggins and Junor Williams made a good start getting the first 4 points of the game, with Feggins finding space in the paint to grab his first points of the night. However, Sterling Davis replied back, consistently pushing the score back to within 2 points for much of the game. In the second quarter LU started with an 8 point run pushing the lead out to 11 at one point, however both Williams and Lawson struggled to hold Yanders at point, who's pace frustrated both into giving away fouls all night. This led to a Rocks burst, dropping 11 points in a few brief attacks, on what had become a disjointed LU defence.

In the second half whilst Feggins points dropped off, Johnson and Perre picked up the scoring baton with Johnson dropping two 3's in a spell which saw the home team stretch the lead back out to 8. However, both Feggins and Yanders were now in foul trouble on 4 and this worsened when Feggins was fouled out a minute inside the 4th. With Feggins off court, LU's defence lost discipline and led by Yanders, Rocks raided the LU basket, grabbing themselves a 2 point lead with 1:30 to go. A technical by Junior Williams who had struggled to hold Yanders all night gave the Rocks a 5 point lead and with it the game. United fouled twice at speed to try and regain quick possession, but it was in vain as the Rocks punished LU from the stripe, to keep their lead and leave United still waiting for their first home win.

Sterling Davis led all scorers netting 25 points for the Rocks, while former Rock Phillip Perre led the London scoring with 18 points personal.
