September 26th, 2006 - TARICK JOHNSON SIGNS FOR LONDON UNITED..

England International guard, Tarick Johnson has joined London United for the 2006-07 season.

The ex-Campbell guard, joins from Bremerhaven in the German Bundesliga. Johnson recently impressed for Great Britain with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Johnson has previous experience with Landstede in Holland and comes from an impressive career in College basketball in the NCAA.

Director of Basketball Jack Majewski said: "We have always maintained that signing English and European players is our priority. American players will fill in the spots where we are not so strong with EU players. We also always said that recruitment is all about quality instead of quantity and Tarick is surely a top quality player. We chased him for a while, but I'm sure that we have a player who can take us where we want to go. His experience with the National team and from playing in Europe is impossible to overestimate."
